Andrew Roberts Story
Andrew Roberts graduated from Providence Academy in 2016. He currently lives in West Point, New York, where he graduates this month from West Point Military Academy with a degree in Politics. He will commission as a 2LT on May 23, and report to Fort Benning, Georgia, as a tank commander. While at West Point, Andrew was the platoon leader for his company, was in charge of athletic and physical development for his battalion, and met with the President and First Family at the White House.
Andrew believes his education at Providence helped to prepare him for West Point. “I do not believe I would have had the opportunity to attend West Point and experience the success I have without PCCA,” he said. “The structure and leadership opportunities helped prepare me for life at USMA.” Andrew’s advice to current Providence students is to “wake up every day with an intention to be better. Find ways to better yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. Do not ever be content with where you are, strive to be the best version of yourself in every situation you are faced with. The world is in need of good leaders, now more than ever, so never underestimate your capabilities and the opportunities that you may one day have. One day you may find yourself a leader of men and women, and you owe it to them to be a man/woman of honor, character and strong leadership.”
