Providence Academy is in the process of establishing the Providence Endowment Fund. This fund will provides consistent, yearly support, not only for this year, but for years to come. The impact of the Endowment Fund is powerful, and its continued growth is critical to the long term sustainability of Providence Classical Christian Academy.
Gifts to the Endowment Fund and gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign will both help limit our dependence on tuition. The Endowment Fund will contribute to the annual operating budget, thus, helping to bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual expense of a Providence Academy education.
In addition, plans are also being worked out to create specific endowment funds that will comprise of gifts designated by the donor to provide for financial aid and programs and to support teaching chairs, departments and administrative positions.
Gifts to endowment are invested in the Providence General Endowment Fund or an endowment fund designated for a specific purpose. Endowment gifts are, by definition, restricted. The gift may not be spent - only the interest income is available for spending.
